May is family month in Korea.
And as a mom, there's something I've learned a lot over time:
👉 when it comes to sensitive skin, less… is often more.
Especially during pregnancy or in young children, skin can react differently and become much more delicate.
That's why today I wanted to share a simple guide on ingredients that are usually well-tolerated, which ones to avoid, and how to care for skin in a calmer, safer way.
👶 Ingredients generally well-tolerated during pregnancy

✔ Centella asiatica
Helps soothe skin and strengthen the skin barrier.
✔ Hyaluronic acid
Helps maintain hydration without irritating.
✔ Panthenol
Ideal for sensitive or dry skin.
✔ Ceramides
Help protect the skin barrier.
👧 Gentle ingredients for children and very sensitive skin

✔ Centella
✔ Colloidal oatmeal
✔ Panthenol
✔ Glycerin
👉 Simple and soothing ingredients usually work best.
⚠ Ingredients many people prefer to avoid during pregnancy or childhood

⚠ Retinoids / Retinol
Generally recommended to avoid during pregnancy.
⚠ Strong exfoliants
(AHA/BHA in high concentrations)
⚠ Highly concentrated essential oils
Can irritate sensitive skin.
⚠ Intense fragrances
Especially for young children or reactive skin.
There is no perfect routine for everyone.
But when skin is sensitive,
👉 choosing simple, gentle, and consistent products often makes a big difference.
Especially during such important stages as pregnancy or childhood 💛
